Hey everyone, long time no talk.
I’ve been pretty busy with work lately (I’ve joined Berachain and started an internship at Compound VC), but don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you guys.
I think about writing here almost everyday even though I haven’t made the time to publish a quality report for some time now.
The reason I’m posting this is because I finally gotten around to making a personal site (here’s a link) and realized just how little I’ve written for substack in the past year and a half. Part of this comes from the increased stress I’ve felt over being scrutinized for putting out reports for everyone to read versus writing internal reports for work that have far less eyeballs come across them. Today I’m here to say that I don’t care about any of that anymore.
I’m ditching the writing anxiety and getting back to what I love.
Almost everyday I read a handful of articles, blog posts or reports and wonder why it is I feel so unconfident about my writing. I’ve written a handful of great reports for the Berachain blog over the past month and a half, so why can’t I get myself to release something on substack? I think most of my worries stem from my previous writing style that leaned very heavily on a more dramatic, journalistic approach - just compare my Bittensor report to anything from 2021 or 2022, the difference in quality is crazy.
I’ve been able to learn from some really strong writers over the past year and hopefully I can compete with their level of work and consistency. Names that come to mind are Jack Melnick, Gaby Goldberg, Jonathan Moore, Jarrod Dicker, 0xSmac, Michael Dempsey, and many others I’m forgetting off the top of my head.
Instead of trying to write about the most popular current thing to attract the most views on here, I’ll focus on writing about what I really enjoy, even if it’s just a small post about cool ideas I’ve had or a short write-up on a new protocol. I’m not yet sure what the next post on this blog will be, but you can count on it being enjoyable and much stronger than my previous writing.
Talk to you all soon.
Super excited for you man, we’re always here waiting!
Been here since '21, excited for your growth and continued success! Continue focusing on growing and becoming a leader in the space brother--God Bless!
